Panchmarhi is also known as Satpura ki Rani is a hillstation in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It is a part of panchmarhi biosphere reserve. The name panchmarhi is believed to be derived from the hindi words “panch”means five and “marhi”means caves . according to Hindu mythology these caves were built by Pandavas brothers of Mahabharata era during their thirteen years of exile. Panchmarhi is a popular tourist destination. Tourist visit here throughout the year. Every year from 25 to 31 December panchmarhi utsav is organised by government of M.P. in which various celebrities has been called to performed stage shows at utsav ground and various places. At the end of 31 an event is organised by local association panchmarhi partyan Mitra and MARRS. Some films also picturised here like Ashoka, Chakravyuh and Tarkib etc. Chauragarh is also a temple where Shiv devotees come in huge numbers during Mahashivratri . Panchmarhi is also have rich biosphere here you can find many fruits and medicines . It is also abode of many animals like tiger , leapord, chinkara ,Nilgai , Indian wolf and Indian squirrel etc. In the monsoon season panchmarhi looks awesome the sceneries overhere can take your breath out .
